Offset is a term used to describe the distance between the putter face and shaft when viewed from the address position. Different amounts of offset will affect how a player aims the putter. Our plumber’s neck and slant neck feature a full shaft offset while our flow neck features a ½ shaft offset. Our Mach 1.0 model featuring no hosel at all actually has a negative offset. Generally speaking, the greater the amount of offset, the greater the players tendency to aim left. A full shaft offset could be very useful for players who struggle with leaving the putter face open at impact. With the putter face positioned behind the shaft, it will have more time to return to square as the player makes their stroke.
